There is a chore in my home that brings available the procrastinator in everyone. This particular chore can be so big and so challenging, that I create new tasks just to avoid starting the terrifying job. What could get so bad: My toddler’s bedroom – a. k. some sort of. fighting the battle with ‘too many toys! ‘
The problem doesn’t arrive from deficiencies in organization or space to put things, but from just too many toys in the beginning. His room, when tidy, looks like a bit of toy store gone insane. My husband built custom shelving just by the toys and catalogs, with varying shelf sizes to accommodate several types of toys and sizes of books. However, when I take a close look at the contents, it’s obvious that there’s lots of ‘stuff’, but little thought went into the vast majority of it.
How should you select and organize your child’s games? Choosing quality kids’ games like angry birds toy, picked by their developmental stage and abilities, is the initial step. Most toys have a recommended age relating to the package to tell you the appropriate age group. Take cues from you own child to guide you in whether he is ready to get a certain toy.
Make sure the toys you’re choosing actually “do” what they can be supposed to. If dilemna pieces aren’t cut properly, your child will acquire angry and frustrated when they play with it. I’ve recently made the mistake of buying a puzzle that was supposed to be appropriate for ages 1 . 5 years to 3 years, just to find that the pieces were very difficult to place, and my son became upset every time he played with your puzzle.

o Buttoning, zipping, snapping dolls and boards

Most importantly, choose toys that stimulate your child’s mind and that create learning experiences. Provide an adequate amount of toys for your child. Don’t do as I’ve and overwhelm your child with excessive ‘stuff’ causing the two of you to become frustrated. As we all assume, most little kids possess a more fun playing along with the box the toy came in as you move the new toy sits idly on the floor. Now it’s time to do to stop procrastinating and fight the battle with ‘too many toys. ‘.
